SMO (sensor mode)

Setting the sensor to be used

A
Control via internal sensor (default)

F
Control via floor sensor

AF
Control via internal sensor sensor and floor sensor as temperature limiter

A2
Control via external sensor (default for the connection of an external Sensor)

A2F
Control via external sensor and floor sensor as temperature limiter

External temperature sensor

The EF 20201-N can be used as an external temperature sensor if the temperature is to be controlled in a room without the room thermostat being located in it (e.g. public authority rooms with public traffic). In this case, the temperature controller can be installed in a neighboring room and the external sensor can be routed to the room in question (cable length 3m!).

The internal temperature sensor is automatically deactivated and only the external one records the temperature of the respective room.

The minimum and maximum temperature setpoint can be limited with appropriate parameterization. (→ ELO, → EHI)

External floor temperature sensor

The EF 20201-N can perform the following functions as a floor temperature sensor:

  • As a simple temperature limiter, for example, to protect temperature-sensitive floor surfaces.
  • With appropriate parameterization, two EF 20201-N can function simultaneously as an external sensor and floor temperature sensor. (→ FLO, → FHI, → ELO, → EHI)

ATTENTION
The EF 20201-N cannot be used as a safety temperature limiter in combination with electric underfloor heating systems! See the applicable standards for electric panel heating elements DIN EN 60335-1 and DIN EN 60335-2-96.
